Stephanie is a born performer, delighting in both
laughter and drama.
She’s from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and spent her childhood
there. The daughter of an English teacher /director, Stephanie
spent many loving hours at rehearsals in the high school auditiorium.
She could recite from Romeo and Juliet at
the age of 12.
Stephanie attended the prestigious Canterbury Arts Programme
for her high school years. She was a founding member of Canterbury’s
legendary BOFA
improv team, and took home the gold medal in the first National
competition of the Canadian Improv Olympics. Her improv skills
took her to Ottawa’s National Arts Centre where she co-wrote
and performed in Skit Row High, and
It’s about Rock and Roll. She then had much
success as a member of the troupe, Comic Book Heroes, later the
Komic Kazes, improvising in sold-out houses at the nightclub,
Under the Penguin.
Chosen as one of the leads in a new CTV series called High
School Confidential, she was then cast in another
CTV series, Denim Blues, for which she
won the coveted ACTRA Award for best actress.

Artist of the Year by The Ottawa Citizen.
Stephanie plays the lovely Livia in Brigitte Bako’s hilarious
G Spot, a new series airing this spring
on Showcase/TMN. She is also the face of Deena Burnett in ABC’s
heart-wrenching mini-series about 911, The Untitled
History Project, also airing this spring, directed
by David Cunningham. She plays the starring role in the cult hit
movie Cube Zero (Lions Gate Films),
directed by Ernie Barbarash. She stars in the smash hit Showtime
series, Queer as Folk, playing Brian’s
assistant, Cynthia, and has worked with directors Jeremy Podeswas,
Bruce MacDonald, Kelly Makin, amongst others.
She will appear in Damian Lee’s feature film King
of Sorrow. She has played guest roles in Kevin
Hill (Touchstone/UPN), Missing
(Lifetime), Bugs (SciFi), and Sue
Thomas F.B.Eye (PAX), to name a few, and performs
in John Q, Frequency,
Hangman, and A Touch of Hope,
working with Denzel Washington, Lou Diamond Philips, Dennis Quaid,
Anthony Michael Hall, Ken Girotti, Greg Hoblit, Nick Cassavettes.
Some of Stephanie’s favourite theatre credits include the
role of Harper, in Angels in America Part I and Part
II at Centaur Theatre, “
wacko-beatific,” ( The Montreal Gazette),
Summer of the Aliens at GCTC -

and In Vitro at the National Arts Centre.
Her highly successful labour of love is Mamakin,
her own wacky creation, directed by Mike Kennard of Mump
and Smoot, a ‘placental comedy’ dedicated
to her mother, that toured the Canadian Fringe Festivals, and
later ran at the GCTC and the Centaur Theatre.

Stephanie’s interests include theatre, writing, traveling,
playing guitar, singing, hiking, volunteer work with children,
